Welcome Digital Nomads Series: What Are The Best Wifi Hotspots in Barbados?

Hello and welcome to the first Blog in our Digital Nomad Series! We’re here to give you guidance and tips on working remotely in the paradise island of Barbados.

Looking for somewhere to work for a few hours? Getting a bit sick of staring at the wall above your desk and need to get out of your space? We’ve been around for a while and we know some of the best spots on the island to get out of your home and into a place where you can get a coffee, get some fresh air, and get a new release of energy so you can crack on with whatever project you’re currently working on.

We here at Caribbean Collective are used to remote working, and we know that working from home can become repetitive. The solution: get out of your place, go to a new setting and see how it re-energises you.

Here are some of our favourite spots for working - and most importantly the wifi is excellent:-

Love Shack This tiny outlet sells healthy food, and with a few seats outside to rest your laptop, you can make sure you have your work emails sorted while you finish your smoothie bowl. https://www.lacabanebarbados.com/love-shack/

Cafe Carizma Run by husband and wife team, Dave and Anita, this cafe does delicious food while offering valuable wifi and a place to focus in the buzzing centre of Holetown. https://www.cafebarcarizma.com/

Art Splash If you walk into Art Splash you will be in a sea of laptops as others get on with work or meetings. Our top tip - get there early and enjoy their delicious breakfast menu! http://artsplashbarbados.com/

Orange Street Grocer In sleepy Speightstown, this hidden gem offers delicious food and a wonderful view of the ocean - it’s a perfect location if you need some renewed inspiration for that project. https://www.theorangestreetgrocer.com/

Eco Lodge With delicious food and cocktails (cheeky!) provided by the talented Alisha Dawne Stoute and team, this hotel and restaurant is a must-visit for a new place to work. Book in advance. https://www.ecolifestylelodge.com/eat-drink/

Surfer’s Bay Bar & Restaurant

If you find yourself far down on the South Coast, this bar is the perfect spot to while away some time on your laptop. It has friendly service, an excellent menu and a view that can’t be beaten. http://www.moonrakerbarbados.com/eat.php
