Incorporate video into your social media strategy.
Using videos on social media gets a higher number of likes and more engagement than images alone. So how do you start using it in your channels?
One of our predictions for 2021 is the rise of using video in your social media channels. It has been proven that video will increase your rate of engagement. There is study upon study that videos are more effective at capturing your audience’s attention*. There’s a number of ways you can start to make great, engaging videos.

1/ Personal - this requires some confidence in your abilities in front of the camera. Confidence and honesty are crucial here. You can promote your products but instead why don’t you talk about yourself and the company so people can see who they are buying from. Creating a connection, and telling a story to your audience, breeds trust and is more likely to result in conversions.
Our recommendation: Get great lighting and a tripod to get a professional finish.
2/ Stock Video - a cheap and quick method of putting together a video for your social media is using pre-made videos, or stock videos that you can pin together yourself. You can use Canva to help you on this one, or get a professional to do it for you. Ultimately you’ll have a piece of media that inspires you and your audience - getting those likes, shares, and comments, and ultimately conversions, that you’re looking for.
Our recommendation:
Get great videos from Pexels.com
3/ Animation - a slightly more expensive option (unless you know how to animate yourself!) but worth the expense. It humanizes your brand in a specific way that will be very appealing to your audience. Moreover, you can use the animation to tell a story with different props and locations without having to do any filming.
Our recommendation:
Use simple and cost-effective Animatron software.
4/ Original Filmography - the most professional outcome by far but also the most expensive. To hire actors, directors, camera equipment, you’ll be looking at thousands. If you have the budget, we say go for it! This kind of campaign should last you a significant amount of time, or season, which can mean much higher conversion rates for your campaign and capture customers with a long lifetime value.
Our recommendation:
Source professional help from a local videographer - we can point you in the right direction!
