A Post Pandemic World - What to Expect? Part 1
Part 1: Where are we now?

It isn’t a stretch to say that 2020 will go down as an historic year, although not for reasons we’d probably all prefer. The Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has taken the world under its grip, and for probably the first time in recorded history, a pandemic has managed to effectively paralyse the entire planet all at once; creating a situation that’s more akin to a movie than reality. Disruptions are everywhere, families & individuals have been forced into isolation while brave men and women fight daily to keep the spread of the virus in check and help save lives.

We have already seen how this pandemic has critically affected supply chains and production across the planet, leading to huge distribution bottlenecks. For impoverished countries and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) this is a massive problem that could lead to major food and health security issues, as these countries are almost completely reliant on imports. The economic fallout created by this pandemic is also a huge concern, prompting various governments around the world to implement bailouts and stimulus packages to help keep their economies afloat and stem the tide of unemployment.

The direct and knock-on effects of the Coronavirus pandemic will force many countries & businesses to re-think how they operate moving forward. When everything is said and done it is difficult to see life going back to the way it was before, so what can you expect to see in a post-Corona world, and more importantly - how can we prevent these issues from happening again in the future?
